Happy LJ-versary to me!

A year ago today, after encouragement from louisemcgregor and therealmarajade, I set up an account here at LiveJournal. And now I absolutely cannot live without this place. I have made so many great friends here that I never would have met otherwise. You all rock!

And so I have a couple of gifts for you. I got this idea from the DC comics fandom girls, who enjoy creating birthday fics and art for each other on their birthdays. I have been privileged myself to receive something this way. So! Here's how it will work:

I will write a short (500-1000 words) ficlet for you for your birthday!
1) Give me at least two weeks notice - ETA: Earlier is fine, I have figured out a good way to keep track!
2) Choose a fandom listed in my profile - but if you have a different request, it wouldn't hurt to try
3) Prompt me with a short story idea
4) Enjoy the surprise!

I can't promise that it will be anything award-winning, but it will be a gift from the heart. ♥

Tomorrow, I will post jenn_1's birthday fic, and one for mark_clark is also in the works.

And for a little gift right now, this little tune - a fluffy, upbeat song about how important your friendships are to me! Geoff Moore and the Distance - A Friend Like U

*kisses* all around!

I was actually going to ask you this week if you wanted one!

I wasn't even brave enough to ask if you had read my SR stuff... *blush*

Of course I have! Deja Vu is like required reading in the SR universe! Because if it isn't recommended, you WILL find / hear about it (which was what happened to me, the finding) / know it won um, every Superman Movieverse Fanfiction award? I DO fantasize about getting at least one nomination next time around, heh. You were the first to Friend me from the fanfic world and I literally turned to my boyfriend and said, "OMG htbthomas wants to be my friend!"

What was I saying? OH that I have been contemplating a prompt whilst stuck in traffic. I can't decide. I'll get back to you ASAP. I have had a few but I'm all antsy about it, because frankly it's awesome to have someone write a ficlet for you.

I feel I am having a Loony Lovegood moment...

I think you have a great shot at a nomination the next time around! I'm kinda thinking it's someone else's turn - especially since I've only written a couple things (so far), and they're all short...

:D I've done that about some other people friending me. *giggle* *chuffs you* It's just me!

As long as you let me know about your prompt by about 2 weeks to go, all will be well!

I have this class (IT) where I just sit and stare, and I promised myself that I would sit and stare at this screen until I decided on a prompt.

It is now *checks* 3:36 pm (EST).

*staring, did exercise, staring*

How about... I had this idea for Sunspots, but it won't really fit:

While running away from an unknown danger Clark falls behind; Lois, convinced that he is dead or needs help, struggles in Superman's arms to get back to him. Superman's reaction. Romance?

Too much? Is less better?

BTW it's 4:22 pm. heh.

Not too much at all!

I actually need to clarify "Clark falls behind" - what exactly do you mean by that? Does he seem to get lost, is there a tragedy that he seems caught in just as Superman appears?

I do really like the idea!

You got it right with:

a tragedy that he seems caught in just as Superman appears.

Like, a fiery wall just fell on him. Or something.
