SR fic recs

Okay, so I don't know how many of y'all have just literally hours to sit on your butts and read fic, but I have two recs that I think you should read before voting at supes_mv_awards (Voting starts Sunday!):

Kal-El's Journal by Clairecheaux -- Holy crap, this is hilarious. Prepare for serious diet-Coke-or-Frappuccino-pick-your-poison-nose-snortage while reading.

Superman: Aftermath by saavikam77 -- The action in this story is edge of your seat amazing!

I had read most of the nominations that were from ff.net and LJ, but I'd completely missed out on the stuff at The Planet. Now I'm furiously trying to catch up!! So if you've missed out there, too, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

*hugs all the talented writers in this fandom, many of whom are dear friends*

Thanks for recs, Barb. Here's the link for Aftermath - an amazing story:

And I will be reading Kal-El's journal. I came across last year on ff.net (over the first 8 posts were there). Then I found it again recently. It is totally hilarious.

Thanks again.

I did link Aftermath in the entry... is it not working?

Anyway, yeah, these are totally occupying my time. I caught up on Aftermath, but not Kal-El's Journal yet. I'm on #30 right now... and only maybe a 1/3 of the way through the thread. I wonder how many there are altogether? I don't want to spoil myself by going to the last page...

Oops! It works; my bad! Can't have enough links for Aftermath! Love it, love it!

Aw, Barb, I could kiss you! ^_^

For those seeing this that haven't read Aftermath, there is a major edit (my Big Edit) happening, that will be posted to my LJ as it progresses.

Barb, I should have chapter 2 for you to beta by Sunday. Been working on knocking out the last three chapters so I can put a cap on the story and dive into the Big Edit whole hog. :p Thanks!

Oh, and about Kal-El's Journals, the story takes a twist from humor to serious angst/action closer to the end, where it becomes an all out narrative. You guys will cry, I guarantee it (and I don't say that lightly). I bow down to Clairecheaux as a superb story teller. Oh, and she has a new part coming soon. Keep your eyes peeled!

*kisses you back*

Well, I almost said that people who wanted to read the edited version should go to your LJ... but for the purposes of the awards, they must read the whole thing!!

I've been meaning to say, do you have a TOC ready for your Planet thread? Because I bet you'll have a flurry of new readers who may have trouble slogging through all the commentary over there. Seriously - consider it! *nudge*

I knew it was going to turn angsty later on, but I love both humor and angst, so I look forward to that!

*headtodesk* GAH! I just can't keep up with all the READING and everything else! There's so much!! And then I see posts like this and I feel so bad because I've not been on top of it all! I have no doubt the recs are good. Yours always have been!

Don't feel bad! The list of nominations will be over at supes_mv_awards for "eternity" once the voting is over - ready and waiting for all readers when they have time.
