They say on the internets that these young men are well-esteemed:

(Signal Fire by Snow PolicePatrol):

And, aww...

ETA: Okay, I also found some clips of the extended footage in the Spider-Man 2.1 DVD!

Extended Train Fight

J. Jonah Jameson pretends to be Spidey!

I LOVE the looks on Hoffman, Betty and Robbie's faces...

Hehe. I <3 Snowpatrol! :D And how cute are the mini Spidey people! X3

Yeah, when I heard the video had little kids in it, I was drawn like a fly to honey... :D

bistyboo1974 has been trying to introduce me to the pleasures of Snow Patrol, and I just wasn't getting it... thus the icon above. :)

Lol. Aww. Snowpatrol are great. It's a shame you don't like them more, although I'll admit that they're definitely a different kind of band to most of them out there.

I love their song "Shut your Eyes" on their Eyes Open album. It's my favourite song :D. Hopefully they'll release it as a single soon. Have you heard that one?
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:00 pm (UTC)
I've heard "Open Your Eyes" - it's one of the ones Caroline sent me. I think I generally like the ambience of the band's sound, but the repetitiveness of the harmonic movement in the background turns me off a bit. Unfortunately, I think having musical training sometimes ruins one's taste in pop music... ;)

But I know a lot of my f-list likes them, and it WAS Spidey related... so far be it from me not to share. :D

I must admit, that one IS very repetitive. Especially the album version. The radio edit is a lot shorter.

Some of their better ones, I think, are:
You're All I Have
Chasing Cars (my other favourite, although maybe a bit repetitive again)
Shut Your Eyes
Spitting Games
Tiny Little Fractures

All of those have been released as singles apart from "Shut Your Eyes" and "Tiny Little Fractures". I'd definitely recommend trying to find some of those if you feel like it :D
Apr. 15th, 2007 06:02 pm (UTC)
If you want to send along any of those, I'd give them another listen - none of those were ones Caroline originally sent.
Apr. 16th, 2007 11:52 am (UTC)

I'm not so sure how to send them to you though. Are there any ways you know of? And what do I send them to?

The Snow Patrol - I like the song, though I didn't hear the words, the kids were soo cute!

Loved the fight scene. But poor Peter (hugs)

LOL! Hahaha! JJ needs help. Loved the looks on Hoffman, Betty and Robbie too.
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:02 pm (UTC)
Yes, the kids on stage were so distracting that you couldn't pay attention to the words! LOL.

Yeah - my general reaction to the longer fight was - OUCH!

I wish they'd kept that bit with Jonah in the original, even though it was INCREDIBLY cheesy. :D
Apr. 15th, 2007 12:41 pm (UTC)
That fight scene has to be about the best superhero battles ever filmed. Nothing else comes close.

And that Jonah scene is hilarious.
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:03 pm (UTC)
I totally agree - and the longer version is even more amazing. Does this mean you might go see SM3 in... 18 days?

Gotta love that Jonah.
Apr. 15th, 2007 12:48 pm (UTC)
The train fight was freakin' awesome. Too bad that wasn't in the original release. Spidey kept on getting pounded by Ock but he seeemed to shake it off and come back. That's pure Spider-Man right there.

Jameson as Spider-Man, hilarious. 'Nuff said.
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:05 pm (UTC)
Yeah, man! Completely rockin' - I really must get that DVD when it comes out.
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:11 pm (UTC)
I'll have to keep an eye out for it myself. It's suppose to come out before the end of the month but I can't remember when.

Btw, I'm almost done my 12 Days fic.
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:14 pm (UTC)
Yay for progress!

And according to the ads in Spider-Girl, the DVD is out on April 17th.

OMG! That Snow Patrol video is LOVE! ♥ How come our kids never get to put on superhero plays, huh?! That was adorable! :D

Thanks for sharing! I'll BBL to check out the clips... (Running late this morning, as usual!)
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:06 pm (UTC)
Yeah, I TRIED to do a superhero parody for the school play this year... well, no, I looked at one, but the kids weren't too interested. Sigh.

Definitely come back for the clips - they are amazing.
Apr. 15th, 2007 09:15 pm (UTC)
Those silly kids weren't interested?! *is baffled*
Apr. 15th, 2007 04:35 pm (UTC)
GAH! Peter can take the worst beatings and he won't stop! I nearly freaked out when that other train hit him! and I absolutely love when he just bends over backwards at the knees. And when he flies through the air. so awesome. :D

And OMG! I am dying of laughter!! I love that he has a cigar in his mouth. *lol*

Ahh thanks for posting these!:D
Apr. 15th, 2007 05:10 pm (UTC)
Seriously - that whole scene was just one ouch after another!

And Jonah was total ♥ there, wasn't he?
Apr. 15th, 2007 09:14 pm (UTC)
Watched the clips! *still giggling over Jameson* I think I'm all caught up on your Spidey posts now! *twirls*
Apr. 15th, 2007 09:45 pm (UTC)
I believe you are! *twirls with you*
Apr. 16th, 2007 12:28 am (UTC)
Okay, personally, I thought the hit-by-the-other train was a little much, but JJJ? ROTFLMAO.
Apr. 16th, 2007 12:31 am (UTC)
Well, I suppose the editor's agreed with you on that one! I thought it was a fun surprise. And yes! JJJ - I adore JK Simmons in that part.
Apr. 16th, 2007 12:40 am (UTC)
Snow Patrol is okay sometimes; this is one of those times. Kids plus Spidey equals good times!

And J. Jonah Jameson's Spidey impersonation is freakin' hysterical. I love that he knocks over his pens! *gigglesnort*
Apr. 16th, 2007 12:46 am (UTC)
I think that's why I shared it. Kids! Spidey! ...band that f-list seems to like...

Hee hee hee hee Jonah.
