Betty and JJ! We hadn't seen them yet! Love the pics of Betty. But she didn't seem to like Eddie much in the book.

I loved the pic with Peter and Eddie with JJ, Eddie's like grinning ear to ear, and Peter has this shocked look on his face. The last didn't look quite right but it's pretty good.

I think the only thing about the book that seemed strange was that they said that Eddie only just started at the Bugle. This while he's mentioned as a photographer in the first movie.

I was reading about that recently - apparently they threw that reference in for a laugh, not really realizing they were actually going to use the character of Eddie in a coming sequel. And also at the time of the first movie, Eddie was thought of as being more middle-aged. Raimi decided to make the character more of an "anti-Peter Parker" - so that all changed.

*shrugs* For all the inconsistencies, I still adore the movies.

Yes Eddie was mentioned in SM1, by Robbie. I can't remember if the SM1 book had more or not. Though Peter David write the books wonderfully, he got his stories a bit off a few times.

Ex -- In SM1 book, it says that Harry only started Midtown about a month or so before, (in the beginning), so he's the 'new kid'. Yet, in SM3, without gaving too much away, it sounds like from the things he said that he'd been at Midtown for at least two or if not four years.

No, Betty definitely doesn't like Eddie at all. She adores Peter, and it's interesting how both she and Robbie have Peter's back in the coming Eddie/Peter confrontation.

Well, the last one is my amateurish scan from the Movie Storybook. A lot of them are very yellowish, and I don't know how to fix it! :D

Ah, we finally get some pics of the lovely Betty Brant. Excellent. It appears that all the young women in Peter's live in this film are looking fine. Hubba hubba.

Now we get to see Eddie Brock and you are right, Peter does have some competition. This is the second time I see the Brock character used outside the comic format and he works at the Daily Bugle. I guess it was simpler for them to do it this way.

It looks like Brock was hitting on Betty, but I don't think she'd sink that low to go out with Brock.

Yes, all the girls in his life are gorgeous, aren't they? *sigh* Peter looks pretty out of it a lot of this movie, poor schlub.

I think they took more than one cue from the cartoon version in this movie. And Brock was hitting on her, but she doesn't really give him the time of day. *high fives her*
