Looks pretty awesome. However, I'm not watching for at least two more episodes. I'm holding out hope that something will change between Chuck and Sarah in that time frame. After that, I'll be able to subject myself to the horror that is 3.09 onward.
Aw, before I tell you why I'm excited, I know we're going to disagree on a lot of this stuff, and that's okay. :)
I am a huge fan of this show for the most part because it is a pseudo-superhero story. Chuck is my Peter Parker (my favorite of the lot, though Clark Kent is a very close second). He's a nerd who accidentally gained powers and struggles to learn to use them, to accept responsibility for his gift and eventually becomes one of the all-time greats. He makes many mistakes along the way, because he isn't perfect, he isn't completely self-sacrificing, but he is totally repentant and makes amends when he recognizes he's done wrong.
He has a kickass supporting cast who are just as interesting, and bring out different aspects of his heroism, humor and dark side. He has many love interests, but everyone knows he's going to end up with Mary JaneSarah.
So.... all of that to say that I don't mind things that might seem OOC or uncomfortable along the way. That's what I expect in a superhero story, really. So though I ship Chuck/Sarah, I can see them with other people because I know it's temporary. I love Shaw on his own merits, just not with Sarah, but I won't deny him his attraction to her.
Morgan and Awesome's arc this year has been wonderful, and I want to see more of that. I could totally watch only those scenes and Chuck learning to be a superhero and have a show I love.
So anyway, no need to reply. Just suddenly was inspired to do my Chuck manifesto in response. ;D
You know, what you say makes sense. It really does. I still have a problem with them being OOC, though. I honestly wouldn't mind them with other people so much, provided that it made sense for the characters. Here, it just seems like a plot twist that wasn't thought out very well first. But to each their own, right? Thanks for sharing your opinion!
