In addition: True Blood - watch to the end of the season coming soon Being Human - watch until finished on BBC America - probably d/l when Series 2 airs in the UK Merlin - d/l when Series 2 airs in the UK Drop Dead Diva - giving a try soon Skins - still have this on my "to try" list | In addition: True Blood Season 2 over Merlin Series 2 over Drop Dead Diva and Skins - still haven't tried it! |
Why the changes?
- Sunday: Dexter ended (the fourth season ROCKED!), Being Human started up
- Monday: I ended up not watching Heroes at all this season. There were mixed reviews anyway, so I've pretty much taken it off my list.
- Wednesday: Eastwick was canceled (though I only watched two), Psych changed days, Modern Family I caught up with around Ep. 8 and it's awesome.
- Thursday: I quickly lost interest in FlashForward, I never tried Vampire Diaries. Burn Notice started back up in January.
- Friday: Monk ended its 8-season run, Psych moved. Dollhouse is ending soon, but I kept it up there... :(
What happened with your schedules? I'd love to know. :)
Comments
OH! I should have added Greek to my "going to try" list.
It's interesting how you've weeded out the weaker shows and kept the others.
I didn't know that you liked Leverage or 30 Rock. Leverage season 1 is coming to LivingTV soon so I think I'm going to try it then. LivingTV has a monopoly on everything now, SPN, Grey's, Criminal Minds...
I can't believe we're already halfway through the TV year.
I'm loosing interest in V and Flashforward, even though they're both on hiatus. I suppose I'll finish the first seasons of both when and if they come back.
Vampire Diaries is loosing me. Last Thursday was a yawn.
*gasp* You've given up Heroes?? Truly surprised there!
I only have about 4-5 true favorites too! :D

Yes, can you believe it! I thought I'd hang on to the end, like with Smallville. But I haven't missed it. :(
What are your true favorites?
Lost (final season)!!
Smallville, of course
True Blood
Big Bang Theory (it's all your fault)!!
How I Met Your Mother (We're actually getting closer to meeting her, can you believe it? It's the only reason I watch. Barney grates on my nerves sometimes.)
There are others, but I DVR those and watch whenever!!
I stopped watching HIMYM live for Chuck. I haven't even watched last week's ep yet! Once they ended BroTP, it changed the show for me. I still watch, but I'm not as fannish.
I be working my DVRs on Mondays and Thursdays, but I'm good. I find myself watching shows on weekends. I know I have no life! :D:D
Doctor Who is on hiatus, Sarah Jane Adventures is on hiatus, Torchwood is on hiatus, Merlin is on hiatus, and Dollhouse is canceled. So basically, I watch NOVA on Tuesdays on PBS, and that's it. *sigh*
I recommend all of my bolded shows, but I don't know if our tastes in TV align that well....
I was going to pick up Sanctuary, but then I blew through all of the available episodes to get caught up just in time for a cliffhanger preceding a nine month hiatus.
Maybe Being Human or Legend of the Seeker? I dunno. Generally I require space travel in my entertainment, or at least aliens, although I do make exceptions for fantasy stuff every once in a while.
Being Human would be really easy to get into. And you watch other BBC shows, so I'd start there.
Legend is cheesy (though getting darker) fun. I bet you'd like that too. ♥
But the lighter side is I have time to catch up on downloads like Being Human and with school+work coming full force I probably shouldn't have every night taken by TV. :P
I feel sorry for Heroes. It seems like everybody's lost hope(I bailed mid S2)
I watched all the way through S3... but when S4 came back I just didn't care anymore. *sad*
HIMYM is a fun comedy. You'll like it. ♥
Mondays have basically eroded from my schedule, since I gave up How I Met Your Mother in a sea of bitterness and have been watching Big Bang Theory via stream. But I think United States of Tara is moving to Mondays, so that might change. On Wednesdays I've added Modern Family, which is indeed awesome, and I guess with Top Chef not even shooting till April and poor Eastwick cancelled, I have room for Psych! Thursdays are now all about my beloved Community. ♥
It looks like a lot of my favorite stuff isn't going to be back this spring, or for a while -- Mad Men (which I am newly obsessed with) isn't till summer, Top Chef probably in the fall, I have no idea when Top Model is back, and Curb Your Enthusiasm may even go off the air!
I just watched the pilot of Mad Men (Netflixing it, baby) so I hope to catch up slowly. :) And I have been meaning to watch Better Off Ted. With my luck I'll get into it just as it gets officially canceled. :P~~
I planned on watching somewhere around 10 series regularly, and as it stands, the only one I manage to keep up with each week consistently is HIMYM. Ironic, since I think the show has taken a drastic and devastating downturn in quality, pre- and even more so, post-BrOTP breakup. I think the reason I hang on so fiercely is that the series is such an all-time favorite that I keep praying it'll miraculously get better one week.
Smallville, at least as far as I've watched and heard, has been excellent this season! ♥ If they can keep up the quality of Part 1 in Part 2 this year (unlike last season), then this could end up being one of the best seasons ever. :) The epic, mythos Superman stuff is making me VERY happy. ♥
Yes, Smallville has been great. Can't wait for tonight!!
