Jan-Feb Icons

After a rousing round of CAPSLOCK!SQUEE with sean_montgomery, I decided to post my 2009 icon progress. I've been able to learn a lot this month using textures, animation and now brushes. I want to share!

These are roughly in order of creation (all made with GIMP), up to today:

These are freely gankable, with credit, if you would actually want one! (Oops, #16 was slightly too big, so I fixed it, but it's a little pixelated. Oh well...)

But you know it's only a matter of time before Lois starts bugging you about potential icons you could make for her... ;)

Well I don't do manips, so... I'm pretty limited in what she can ask! :D

But hey, I've made some of those on request, so I probably wouldn't mind. :)

Anyhoo, my offer of newbie help is totally open whenever. GIMP is no Photoshop, but it's freeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I actually downloaded GIMP, and it seems to be a lot easier than other things I've tried (besides Photoshop, of course, but that was a given.) Have you figured out how to put two separate images onto one project yet?

I think so - do you mean two mixed together, sort of like a blending or manip? Not sure.

But overlaid on top of each other? I can do the second, using different layers. You can drag one image on top of the other, and it will become a second layer on that file. And then you can play with how visible each one is and erase bit of each.

Also, I know how to animate two separate images.
