That is the world I am currently living in.

I've got the basics of it, but its a little...overwhelming for me as a newbie.

I figure I might as well jump feet first, though. It looked like too much fun to pass up!

I can't remember what I told you about it before... so apologies if this is all repeaty-like:

1) You make 3-4 requests in 3-4 obscure-ish/non-active fandoms (I requested Freakazoid, Looney Tunes and Spider-Man stuff)
2) You offer to write 3 or more fandoms (I selected 41 different ones)
3) When signups close, they match your offers with someone who requested one of them.
4) Only one of the requests will likely match that person's list -- but you only have to write one 1000 word story for the one that does match.
5) You write and upload it by Dec. 20th
6) On Christmas Day they open the archive, and all stories are anonymous for a week
7) On New Year's they reveal authors!

I don't know if that helped... but there's always next year!

If you want to wait and see what other people do, I would visit the Dear Yuletide Author and read some. :)
