I'm only the 4th person on my own f-list to post that I just signed up for Yuletide! :D

I requested Spectacular Spider-Man (tv), Looney Tunes, Freakazoid! and Ultimate Spider-Man (comic). I will be creating my Dear Yuletide Author post very soon!

Seriously, if you're on the fence, just look at this list of requested fandoms! Surely there's SOMETHING you could write and/or request!? I offered 41 fandoms. How about you? *prods* And it's not due until Dec. 20th, all you NaNo-ers.

Signups end Nov. 10th!

Forty one? I'm still in awe of that.

I'm going to polish up my Dear Yuletide Author post to have ready for the day that assignments go out. Lots of fun, all around!

There were quite a few on the list that I felt I could quickly brush up on that matched my writing style. So I really hope for something fun and possibly quite random! :)

Yes, I added pretty much any movie that I have on hand and would be willing to review in order to write for December. The only thing that cut me back from offering more book fandoms was the lack of time between now and the due date to get a re-read and some writing done.

I'm little confused about yuletide... You can still sign up, even if you didn't nominate anything?

Yes! Last year I didn't nominate (I didn't know in time), and I still signed up.

You just have to have 3-4 requests, and offer 3 or more fandoms (they don't have to be the same ones) to participate!

Last year I wrote a Monk story and received How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs and Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane stories in return!

I'm still waffling... Yuletide scares me.

YAYAYAYAY!

I had a HUGE blast last year, writing something I'd never tried (Monk), and the stories I got were awesome, too.

Good luck!

*double-take on music* I love Mediaeval Baebes!

Alas, I have no time to do Yuletide.

:D

It's kind of funny, the entry dialog added that it without me knowing - it simply showed up when I posted (usually you have to click "detect" or something, right?)

But they are awesome, chickadilly introduced me to them. :)

Yay! I signed up...this will be my first year!

I figured that since I've been ficcing at the same time I've been NaNoing and I'm still caught up on word count, it can't hurt, and it seems like a lot of fun!

I went on a YA fantasy kick, requesting Mortal Instruments, Holly Black Tithe, Richelle Mead Vampire Academy, and offering those three plus Herbie Brennan Faerie Wars.

If nothing else, really dissecting those writing styles in order to mimic them should be like a creative writing lesson. *grin*

I'm excited!

*twirls you*

I hope you get an awesome matchup! I wish I knew anything about those books myself... but maybe reading your entry will get me interested. :)

I found last year that it was definitely a great creative writing exercise! Really stretches you out of your comfort zone. :)

You talked me into Yuletide last year as I recall and it was kind of awesome, so I had to do it again this year. :)

Now to work on my Dear Yuletide Author post whilst getting ahead (oh please oh please oh please) on my word count!

Oh, I'm so glad. My experience was so awesome I just had to do it again. :D

I created my post, but I'm saving it until closer to the closing of signups - just in case I think of something else I want to say. And to avoid the extra spamming... :D

I'm waffling too. After the NaNo blow-out I don't know if I'll have it in me to be prolific in December, too. ;__; I want to, but I'm scared to commit.

LOL, I didn't! :) I was just lucky that they opened after I'd completed my daily wordcount. :)

Have you signed up yet?
