On The Planet, or more specifically BR.C, fans of Superman Returns have begun a letter and email campaign to WB express their support of Brandon Routh, and their wish that he keep the role. I want to spread this message as far and wide as possible, especially here on LiveJournal where I know there is a large community of SR and Brandon fans. Even though it appears we will no longer get our long-promised sequel, and petition campaigns are rarely successful, we still want to put our disappointment to good use rather than passively accepting WB's rash and possibly disastrous course of action. I just watched the movie -- and I found it surprising! I think I expected it to be more in line with the rest of the DCAU TV shows, and it really wasn't, apart from character design.

I know I've seen reviews of it on my f-list, but I can't find the entries anymore, since I didn't want to be spoiled. I can't even remember which of you did the posting! If you did a review/post about it, please link me!

And I want to add, on a personal note, thank you! to everyone who nominated me. *blush* We have so many talented writers in this fandom, and I am so happy that we get to celebrate those people. There were some great stories that didn't make the final cut, though, so I plan to make the complete nominations list (with links) available once voting is done. If you haven't read much on these lists, you owe it to yourself to get in some solid summer reading! (I mean, what else are you gonna do while you wait for HP7, eh? *wink*)

2. They visit the same thread (aka the postathon thread)
3. They ready their DVD player, laptop etc having it paused at the movies beginning.
4. At the prearranged time all fans press play.

From here on out we post, we laugh, we philosophize. It's a blast! We enjoy SR or whatever movie together as a group of friends and basically chill and have a good time.

Ways to prepare:
1. Get some snacks
2. Headsets make for an awesome movie sound experience

Hey, everyone! alphielj had an idea a few months ago, after seeing the Twilight fandom awards - why don't we have Fanfic Awards for the Superman movieverse? The SR fandom will officially be a year old on June 30th, and what better way to celebrate it than to have fanfiction awards!

So I got bistyboo1974 involved as well, and after a couple days of work... voila! We have a community -- supes_mv_awards!

Please go over and nominate your favorite stories - there are LOTS of categories to spread the love between! And spread the word, we'd like this to include as much of the Superman fandom as possible.
