For the first time ever, and I completely blame/credit co-author jenn_1 for keeping on me for my portion, we have our 12days_of_clois ficlet done! And way ahead of time! (Usually I get mine into my betas' hands the day before it's due or the day of!)

Just in case you hadn't already heard from me, the fic is based on two wedding prompts, and is called Impressions. It's Clark and Lois' wedding, Déjà-verse, seen through the eyes of Clark, Lois, Jason, Martha, Richard and Lana.

Does anyone want a teaser? I'll post one in my next entry if there's a demand. Maybe even one for each character? :) (Gotta get approval from the co-author first, though...)

And now for some celebrating! I just received review #1800 on Déjà Vu at ff.net! *twirls* Considering I barely crack 100 on my other fics, I'm thrilled! Thank you to all of you on this list that contributed to that total! I ♥ you guys.

Finally, the results of the poll. Most of you were open to ideas based on feedback and your Muses are stifled from the lack of it. Which was exactly my own response. And it seems that the poll also served its purpose admirably - everyone could see the voting totals without being able to see who voted for what.

And of course - don't forget your noms at supes_mv_awards. BTW, is there anyone willing to send out PMs over at ff.net? The system only allows 24 per user per day. Between the mods, we've contacted about 250 people, but I still have a long list. The goal is to contact all writers and quite a few of the reviewers in the Superman fandom by the end of the week.

Yeah, I know it's REALLY late... but I'm too excited to sleep. I got Ch. 39 done! It's 3250 words in total - there will be an edited version posted at ff.net to keep the T rating. Well, unfortunately, getting grades finished kicked my butt again. On the upside, they're done now! So I hope to be able to write a bunch more on DV Ch. 37. I have only 788 words so far, but there's still some goodness I can share.

I'm at 1,187 words. I guess that's probably halfway. Maybe less, I'm not sure. All depends on how distracted I get this evening. *wubs* to all!

Well, I bet you thought the holidays had swallowed my Muse... but she came back from the depths!  Whee!  I'm going to a wedding today most of the day, so no writing or betaing until the evening.  However, enjoy this small sample from the 2,200 words that are currently complete (about 2/3 of chapter).

You should be getting the full 5600 word chapter sometime tomorrow morning!

The chapter is now at 2300 words, about 1/2 finished, I think. I was feeling bad that I didn't have my usual update this weekend. So I hope you enjoyed this extended, director's cut teaser. :)

I usually avoid getting pouty online, but I felt a tiny bit justified this time. There is no progress being made on Deja Vu right now, because:

1) Interim grades were due this week, and I had let the grading pile up!

2) I got sick. I think it's strep. I'll go to the doctor tomorrow - but I don't want to take Ashlyn with me to the germ-fest that is a doctor's office when she's perfectly healthy.

3) My beta is really busy with end of term stuff with her job. So the outline isn't finished yet.

And now for the biggest pout of all... I pre-ordered the Donner Cut of Superman II from Best Buy... and when it arrived, it was the HD-DVD version! Then sickness overtook me, and I couldn't go exchange it. When I went today, cold front or no, strep or no, they didn't have it in stock. So my card was credited... but I was no closer to DVD-owning.

BestBuy.com doesn't carry the regular version! And the cheapest version I can find is more expensive than what I paid. Don't get me started on my financial woes right now. But suffice it to say, I can't afford it to be more expensive, even by a dollar. :(

On the bright side, I still will get to see it, through the wonders of *cough*bittorrent*cough*. In... *checks the status bar* ...about an hour.

My Muse was very kind to me today. I got all 3900 words of this chapter written in one day! Go me!

This is definitely the longest yet. I knew it was going to be when the first three sentences of my outline (which was 3 pages long) took 800 words to write. LOL.

Hey, ho, everyone.  I got some writing done the last two nights.  :)  We're at 875 words.  I have reached the halfway point of my outline... generally... but there is a section which may be much longer if I let it.  We'll see!

Hi, everyone. I am posting this via email, just for fun and kicks. I'm sitting at my computer, so I don't REALLY need to do it this way, but I like to test new things...

Anyway, Ch. 29 is going to be called "Connections" (and it's very unusual that I even have a title yet - that usually doesn't come until after it comes back from the betas!)

About 900 words completed - and I expect it to be possibly another 3000-word entry, based on the outline. If school stuff goes quickly... you might see this by Tuesday. If not... Wednesday or Thursday. Another 80 tests to grade tonight!


ETA: Okay, so I had to adjust weird symbols post email.  And the LJ-cut didn't work either until I did it with the Rich Text Editor.  But, I'll keep playing with it!

... for grading buttloads of tests!  Grr.

Grades are due Tuesday at midnight... and if I don't want to go insane this weekend, I really should grade 80 tests tonight.  That's right. 8. 0.  And then another 80 this weekend, and 60 more on Monday.  Double Grr..

On a brighter note, I have my outline all finished for Ch. 29!  But having time to write.... not so hopeful.  :(

Finished at 11pm!  Yay!  But the cycle starts over tonight... Sigh...

1,707 words so far.  I think that I have another third left, maybe a quarter?  It'll be shorter than the last one, but that wouldn't be hard to do.
