In case you didn't know (yeah, right), my favorite band is They Might Be Giants. And they have done three children's albums in their 25+ year career. The latest, Here Come the 123s, is just as fun as all of their music is.

But I cannot get this song out of my head -- an earworm of the most insidious kind. (And it doesn't help that it's my hopeful theme song/countdown to the last day of school).

Hey, I know this is two music posts in one day (other one is f-locked if you're confused), but I discovered this little toy this week:





If you click on the play button, it will shuffle and play the full track of the songs I have added to "My Playlist" (songs I've listened to on my own computer and enjoy enough to add to the list). It's kind of like htbthomas radio...

And I like to do my Top Artists widget at least once a month - this week I played a lot of songs for my daughter on our Thanksgiving trek, so that's why Veggie Tales and The Backyardigans made the list! :D

Is there anyone else on my f-list who shares my love for Danny Kaye? I picked up a bunch of his music last week, and played almost all of it right away! I'd never heard "I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts" before (except from Zazu in The Lion King), and it was great! Also have fallen in love with "Civilization (Bongo Bongo Bongo)" with the Andrews Sisters.

I also must include Flight of the Conchords in my latest list of musical obsessions. I'm thinking I must add both of these artists (and "novelty songs") to my interests ASAP.
