Attention, Internets!

I have now finished reading Breaking Dawn. You no longer have to put spoilers under a cut.

;) JK. I'm like a week behind the rest of you, I swear.

Anyway, now I have to go back and find all the reaction posts... *sigh*

---

Is anyone out there also reading Terry Moore's Echo? I need someone to squee with! (If you aren't, why not, goshdarnit!)

Also, I was pleased with the new launch of Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane as well. The art is not as cute (I miss Takeshi), but I think it was a strong start, which I hope will continue! Good for newbies to pick up, too.

It's Terry Moore's new series (the creator of Strangers in Paradise). The story centers on Julie, a down-on-her-luck young woman, who witnesses the explosion of an experimental weaponized suit - and gets partially covered with the stuff in the process. As readers, we're slowly introduced to the intrigue and what the suit can do... and I'm really enjoying the character introductions, too. Classic Moore.

Me, me, I'm reading Echo! I'm really liking it too.

YAY! I get more excited about it with each new issue! I love that things are starting to come together in the plot. ♥

Maybe I can do my squee post after all! I would post it to comics_squee, but they're staying DC/Marvel for now... I might ask again though. 'Cause I have a mad on for Invincible right now, too.

You're not that behind for BD. A week later, there's still reactions everywhere!!! ¬_¬ *sigh*

Oooo, Echo looks great!! What is it about, exactly??

Yeah, I know. The wank seems to be reaching epic proportions. When major media outlets are reporting on it, you know it's bad...

I'll copy what I said above about Echo:

I didn't make a reaction post but I have to say, it totally sucked me in. All I did with my free time for two days was read that book. Then I went and read Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse - I just finished Eclipse last night.

All I can really say is, damn. She hooked me. It's not my typical reading fare but I couldn't put 'em down.

So you read BD first, and then the others? Or the others for a second time? Still whoa. They definitely are addictive, no matter how you feel about the storyline. :)

I read BD first. I didn't really intend to read any of the books, but I kind of...stumbled on BD. I read the first few chapters for a lark, and it sucked me in like a whirlpool. ;_; So after finishing BD, I went and read the first three for the very first time.

Now I'm looking forward to the movie. Damn, I've become a fangirl.

LOL, what a great way to come in, though, just as the movies are starting. :)

What did you think of BD?

I've been looking at ECHO in the comic stores. Haven't gotten around to reading it yet though.

Have you read Bendis' ALIAS?

I thought some of her choices were a little WTF?, but on the whole I actually enjoyed it. Some eye rolling here and there, and some She Did Not Just Do That... But I'm not feeling the utter hate. Then again, I'm a very casual reader - I mostly do it because of friends who are very invested in the fandom.

READ ECHO! I love it so far. But I've read Strangers in Paradise, so I know what kind of depth and intricacy he's capable of.

Yes, I've read the whole run of Alias - and also read The Pulse, which semi-continues the story. I did like it, even though it's not my usual cup of tea. :)

Oh, I'm not so much a fan as a casual reader who has many friends who are fans. So I read to stay in the convo.

I've read some pretty strong opinions, I doubt you'd offend me. :D

Would those strong opinions be mine? Heh. I do hope I didn't offend you, though!

I've just caught up on Echo and it really has gotten intriguing.

SMLMJ, I haven't touched it yet since I won't be reading it for a while. I am eager to see what has happened since the end of the last series to now.

Yes, it has! I'm quite happy with its continuing excellence. When will you get to reading SMLMJ?

I love the sci-fi in Echo and that should prepare him for SMLMJ. Speaking of that title, I won't be reading that issue until next month when I get my stuff again.

I'm halfway through BD, I got through the birth and the imprinting and then I just had enough and put it down for a while. I'm not enraged or anything like that, as I'm also a mostly casual fan, but it was such a WTF moment for me I needed a break.

That was the biggest WTF moment for me, though there are some more to come!
